Company History
In 1992 a company was formed called Wireless America, the focus of which was to provide a hands on delivery of wireless (cellular) products and services to an increasingly large business community. At the time, wireless services were typically sold via retail stores and car audio installation centers. Our founder and current CEO was focused on personal service and building long term business relationships.
As the nineties rolled along, the company continued to bring more value to its growing number of business clients. In addition to the fast growing wireless industry, the company began offering voice and data wireline services from the largest telecommunications providers. With the explosion of the Internet, and the demand for business access growing, the need arose for quality information and honest advice. Having developed many relationships with both business clients and service providers, the company was positioned to offer something special to its clients - an honest and easy to understand way to purchase the many variations of available wireless, voice and data products and services, along with ongoing support.
In the late nineties, the company began to provide full telecommunications bill audit and reconciliation services to its clients. It became apparent when assisting clients with their services that there were many errors in billing and service reconciliation in the industry. The company quickly became well versed in identifying and correcting the numerous errors on carrier invoicing. The cost reductions and refunds achieved were significant. Our clients had benefitted again from the hard work, commitment, and vision of the staff at Wireless America. When the process was concluded, the clients were assisted in finding the best long term solution for their specific business needs. Our staff not only handled the transition if any was necessary, but the long term management and support to avoid future errors.
The need for a well rounded offering continued. In the early 2000’s, the company continued to be relied upon for advice and recommendations for anything telecom related. With its many relationships and partners in the industry, we often referred our clients to trusted and well known vendors for PBX and other telecom hardware and service needs. In 2002, the decision was made to combine with Info –Tel USA, a well known partner who often satisfied our clients with their service and product offerings. Our name was changed to Safari Telecom and a full service telecommunications company had been formed. By combining with a valued Avaya business partner, the company now offered a tremendous variation of products, services, knowledge, advice, and ongoing support for its clients.
Throughout our history we have received many awards and honors from our many industry partners. We participate in many advisory roles with major service providers and are respected as a highly qualified and professional organization within our industry. Our ongoing commitment to our clients has been the foundation of our success. We have one of the highest retention rates of any industry partner in the country and have consistently been recognized for our customer satisfaction.
